Same thing happened to our daughter her passport should of been re-newed before expiry date ( A lot of people do not realise that they have to re-new there passport 6 months before expiry date) she was at the airport all excited then she was refused to board so being the determined girl she is she got up early the next morning phoned that department who deal in passports and she was told she had to make an appointment and the next appointment was in 2 days she went in that same day spoke to someone and got her passport issued straight away..it's amazing how things can get done quickly if you get the right person and she was off on her holiday that day..
