Air asia booking

There is a section on air asia - my family and friends. I am trying to add friends as I will be hopefully booking some flights in tuesdays sale but can't get it to work. anyone used this before and got any tips. Also anyone done a group booking before we are a group of about 16 - do they give you a good price or is it cheaper to book in sale?
