With excess luggage on a return virgin flight, I was about 11 kgs over! They charged me for about 8 I think from memory and had to pay the full $15 per kg no matter how much I tried to plead less. I put it on my credit card at DPS Airport (you have to go to another area to pay it) About 3 weeks later my bank called me and there was money being spent on my cc. So I suggest either buying extra luggage or be conservative shopping and dont use your credit card! :)
