where you look.... each site you look at tells a different age.. some say 21, some say 18, another says 17... The international centre for alcohol policies says 16...

So who knows really... but tourists rarely get asked for ID unless they are very young in nightclubs...

Myself... I'm not really fussed as to whether my children choose to drink or not.. and before anyone jumps and and down, I am Spanish and alcohol has been a part of my life all my life, the same with my children. I now rarely drink, and my children (19, 16 and 13) dont see what the big deal is.. In Spain the legal drinking age is 14... But I have not one single person with alcohol problems (alcoholic or binge drinking) in my family. Mind you... even I wouldn't drink to excess in a foreign country, too risky, so I would discourage them from doing so.
