go to trip advisor click 'book this hotel' put in my dates and a lot of sites come up with prices, I then check the hotels own website. The deals can change from day to day and if you sign up with the booking sites they send you the specials :)
I have not had any problems with any site and have used a lot, also don't forget to get a price from your TA ...sometimes this can be the best option.
