but it depends where you get the movie from , if its a DVD you need special software to do it , but can be watched with a DVD player software on your pc/laptop . If its a pirated DVD then just copy both folders on the DVD to your hardrive and watch with DVD player software on your pc/laptop .
Most other file types will also play on your harddrive with media player .
If its a movie from a video camera its very easy .
