Singapore-based hospitality group, Lifestyle Retreats announced that its flagship property, The Balé Nusa Dua, will close for renovation on January 10th, 2012.
Along with The Balé Nusa Dua, Lifestyle Retreats operates a clutch of small, luxury resortson Bali including The Menjangan, an up-market nature retreat set within the West Bali National Park and The Amala in the fashionable district of Seminyak.
'The Balé Nusa Dua has been extremely successful for us over the last decade. From opening, this single property has been a pioneer in many respects, it's now time to take the property to another level,' said Lifestyle Retreats Managing Director, Jose Luis Calle. 'We'll close in January for nearly fourmonths with a 10-candle party amongst owners, employees and friends, however the re-opening on May 1st, 2012 will be the real cause for celebration.'
With a thorough renovation planned for its 27-pool pavilions, two restaurants, spa and public areas, Calle and team will also expand the property with a number of new facilities.
'Our repeat guests highly appreciate the privacy and blissful corners of solitude, although things will get ratcheted up significantly with the introduction of stylish food and entertainment venues,' said Michele Giraudo, General Manager of The Balé. 'It goes without saying there will be a freshness to the property, its interiors and exteriors, but it'll be the new food and beverage concepts that will create further buzz.'
With a location that Giraudo professes is a long drive to entertainment spots in Seminyak, the idea is to provide guests as well as those staying in nearby hotels, the opportunity to experience cutting-edge venues within reach.
'The new facilities provide the resort an exciting new dimension, and really a wonderful marketing vehicle forLifestyle Retreats to showcase what The Balé brand is all about,' said Calle. 'With future Balé resorts in the pipeline,The Balé Nusa Dua is the company flagship and the model for other resorts under theBalé brand.'
With a casually hip rooftop-dining scene concept in the blueprints and with vistas of the ocean on the horizon, management expects the venue to become quickly popular within Nusa Dua, often regarded as a quiet, family destination.
