Well I'm an amateur traveller but also an intensive care nurse. My kids and I are going to Bali in about 8 weeks time. I have spoken at length with both our local GP and with the doctors at my workplace and ALL of them agree that typhoid immunisation is just good sense.

Most travel clinics recommend it for travel to Bali of your staying longer than two weeks, but the stats on illness in Bali have persuaded me to get us all immunised.

Typhoid is passed by whats called the 5 F's. Flies, feces, fornication, fingers and food. You work out how many of the five f's you'll come into contact with and decide from there.

Good on you for sourcing as much info as you can.
