Both are ok we have stayed at both of them. Kumala Pantai rooms are a bit bigger than Puri Raja but both were clean, as for the bogan factor it is the luck of the draw for one of a better word. It depends on what type of people are there at the time. We had some trouble at the Puri Raja but it was sorted the next day. I have heard good and bad about both of them but, the same goes for most of the others as well. I dont think that you could go wrong which ever one you pick.
