You need an Inernational license w/motorcycle endorsement or an Indo license for same. You home license will not do.

Your helmet needs to be full head, meaning the side and back extend down below the ears. I don't thing your helmet needs to meet any DOT standards as far as the police care.

Lights on during the day might be the new law, but nobody does it. I never do it, and I ride by the police everyday, often stopping right in front of their kiosk at red lights. I've never been stopped for that specifically. Heck, half the locals don't even have functioning lights at night!!

2 mirrors might also be the law, but many locals have only one, and some have none. Again, I've never seen anyone stopped for this.

The police will still do random "mass" stops to check rider's license, registration, make sure they've paid their taxes, etc. I've heard these stops are also part of a broad anti-drug and anti-terrorist effort. It allows them to spot contraband or suspicious characters.
