to my way of thinking. The Safari Park is huge with excellent infrastructure and shows to see, kids waterpark and of course the safari bus ride round the park and the large variety of exhibits. Check out the website.
One visit to the zoo was enough for me but depends on what you like.It is not large and some animals seem to be in small cages - reminds me of my local zoo about 20 years ago. The day I was there people were paying for a slice of meat and holding it(through the cage bars) on a stick up high for the big cats to leap for. I went with a large group of local children and they loved the experience and of course it is a much cheaper option. I have some friends who like to do both and part of that is the desire to support the local zoo financially and hope for some improvements.
