Depending on the traffic Legian to Candi Dasa would probably be 2 hours or so - less from Sanur
Depends what you plan to do in Candi Dasa itself, whether you want time to relax, have lunch, take your time to look at things or have a regimented schedule to fit everything in
If you have a driver in mind I'd perhaps ask him what would be feasible for you both
or have a look at tours online to get an idea
Most of the eastern tours allow more time
eg:
08:00 - Pick up at the hotel
09.30 - Visit Goa Lawah/Bat Cave
10.30 - Visit Tenganan Village
11.30 - Enjoy the lunch at local restaurant in Candidasa
13.30 - Visit Taman Sukasada
14.30 - Visit Tirta Gangga
15.30 - Back to hotel
17.30 - Arrive at hotel
Pick up at the hotel -
Visit Goa Lawah/Bat Cave -
Visit Tenganan Village -
Enjoy the lunch at local restaurant in Candidasa -

You don't say whether or not you have children
If you do it would be a long day for them
