Not "technically" in Kuta, rather in Legian - a good place to stay is the White Rose Hotel.
Has nice rooms, pool, breakfast and location. Is within 2-4 minutes walking distance to night life, Memorial or Poppies II and approx 7,000 rup taxi ride to Matahari / Kuta beach.
