I also posted on the forum and it appeared to be common practice so I bit the bullet and went ahead with my gut feeling. No problems with any charges to date and I don't anticipate any so fingers crossed. As mentioned this has become a more common practice for many hotels. From what I understand Greenfields has a good reputation. It obviously doesn't stop a dodgy staff member from charging your card but nothing's to stop this behavior anywhere in the world that you give your card details to. Perhaps you could set up a Visa debit card without funds in it to secure your booking. It will meet their requirements and without funds in it no one can rip you off, hope this helps, cheers, Kris
