ago as well. We had a lot of the shops that are still here, like Materhari's, Surfer Girl shops etc.
And the traffic in Kuta was bad back then, I remember planning 30 mins to 1 hour to get from the Sari Club to Double 6 Club, in those days there wasn't much in between either.
I remember the traffic was more chaotic then as there were more motorbikes, I once had to put my leg up to avoid being crushed in the madness of Kuta square, also, in those days there was no security and you could park anywhere so Jalan Legian was always crowded with cars parked on both sides.
