More places that used to be, payment on arrival, are now either asking for some payment or at least your credit card details. The reason being that more people are booking these hotels and either not turning up or are cancelling at the last minute. Greenfields also asked me but I had to cancel as there was a change of plans so sorry that I cannot comment. I was to stay at Kasu Singh in Sanur and he was quite happy for apyment on arrival, then last week I got an email from paypal, most of it in Indonesian, asking me for 50% depost. Not happy that the owner dodn't contact me.
