We will be there in just over 3 weeks time and I can't wait. I love the location close to everything. Yes they have done up the pool with the pool bar. Also so they have tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms which is great. The breakfast I think is ok but as the other person has said people often complain. But they have bacon and eggs and lots of other things to choose from. The only thing is that you have to ask for the bacon. Enjoy your stay.
