Ubud to Safari Park

Just wondering if when we stay at Ubud whether it is better to plan a trip to the Safari Park from there or wait until we stay at Legian? Not sure of the distances between places. Also if anyone knows how to travel there and what it costs please let me know.

Also wondering about the same about day trips to the volcano...
