We have stayed there many times and we also have kids although they are a lot older than your children now. They love the resort and the friendly staff. We have had the superior rooms the last 2 years although you can hear the street traffic which isn't that bad I just take ear plugs incases one night I find it hard to sleep. It never bothers the children though. I have heard that if you are in the superior rooms on the left had side of the resort looking towards the road these rooms you tend to hear the music from the new restaurant accross the road called the station restaurant. So this may be a bit of an annoyance. Great location and best pool area. I hope you enjoy as much as we do.
