I've stayed at Villa Besar - I've stayed in the 4 bedroom villa and also the 2 bedroom villa. They have a website but the villas are much nicer in "real life". The villas are down a small gang (gang Cabe) off Umalas II/JL Bumbak, almost opposite villa mathis. There are about 6 villas in the gang and a rice paddy on the otherside of the gang so it is very peacefu.
The staff are fantastic, they cook a lovely breakfast for you each morning and do your laundry everyday. We hire a car when we are in Bali and it's about 7 - 10mins to Jl Laksmana. My brother stayed there for a few nights before we got there and had no probs getting a taxi (about 10 min wait). There is a mini mart diagonlly oposite and in the other direction is a european style bakery and a couple of restaurants within walking distance.
The villas are fantastic value for money.
They have just built some new villas up the road from the ones we have stayed in and we have one booked for October.
