As a past sufferer of these horrible attacks I suggest you see your doctor asap as there could be an underlying problem that is causing them. However your doctor can also prescribe a mild sedative eg. Valium or something similar to get you through the trip. I always carry a little bottle of ginger oil with me and sniff it occasionally or dab some on a handkerchief and put in my handbag the smell will give you a sensation of calm and help you relax.
