Most plumbing fittings (taps, showers, toilets etc) outside of Aussie do not meet the Aust Standards or the Building Code and thus are illegal. The Code calls for a Wels 4 rating for such fittings.
My Plumber stated that he and others would not fit them as they don't comply. As they do not have the requied water restrictors fitted to them.
However, another statement by un-named pumbers say they have buckets full of restrictors they would give you as people want them pulled out. Who - ever makes the rules have their heads in the sand.!!
I am going to do a bathroom reno soon and Ace Hardware really impressed me. Maybe I will get some fittings from Bali next trip.
