Personally I have found Covermore very good, had a claim and they paid within 10 days and have re insured with them again.
If it helps try some of these: ICover, Travellers Insurance Direct(TID), Southern Cross, CommInsure, Itrek.
There are many travel insurance companies to pick from but it is a matter of how much you want to pay, what you need to be insured for and what kind of service you expect.
If I can give you any advice it would be to pay just a little bit extra (sometimes $25) and take a policy that has NIL excess!
Multiple claims with a $100- $250 excess can work out very expensive

Unless you have some pre existing conditions that are not acceptable to Covermore (you can pay extra to cover these) I would still stay with them.
