As a fellow quilter I have some advice for you. Over the last 15 years I have been going to Bali I have bought lots various of quilts from the Ubud markets and countryside. Just this recent trip a cotton crochet number which is absolutely gorgeous. If you have spent a lot on the fabric and put in a lot of time I am nervous for you. With all due respect the way we quilt in Australia is not how its done in Bali. Not one of my quilts is perfect. They are not aligned, corners do not meet, seams do not match. My advice is go to the markets at Ubud and have a look at the work. Ask the ladies if they are interested in putting it together when you've looked at the skill level in what is on offer. I paid 450 000 for both my crochet and queens size quilts I bought in June this year. Over the years I have been amazed that for 20 AUD you can buy a whole quilt. We pay that for 3 fat quarters here! Good luck but be careful as I know a bad put together could be devastating.
