On our last trip the kids really got into going to the beach (and I certainly enjoyed laying on a lounge being bought drinks!).
We are thinking then next trip we would like to be across the road/adjacent to the beach so that the walk there and back is quicker.
We prefer Legian, but like closer to Melasti St and no further up than Poppies towards Kuta. Have looked at Alum Kul Kul, but that was a little pricey for the room offering.
Can people suggest places along/adjacent the beachfront that will have the family facilities (like family room or adjoining rooms in which one front door could be well secured as kids are 4 and 7.) We are already considering Jayakarta, but would prefer to be closer to Melasti than that!
Its been a year since our last trip so the names of places are escaping me - we like hotels and will consider villas that are in a group with a shared pool and foor option either there or next door :)
Don't quite have 5* budget either!
