1st thing DO NOT send it until you get permission from Canberra. If you have sent it and don't get permission it will be destroyed at your expense. Get a form from Dept. of Infrastructure in Canberra. Keep copies of everything you fill in.

The freight will be approx. $AU550 (Perth) but the cost of getting it off the wharf, that is cargo agent and wharfeage costs may be up to $800.

If you are buying a vintage bike pre 1989 (aprox) is easier to get in because vintage bikes don't have to comply with some requirements for registration. Can be different in each state. If it is an old bike I am guessing, going on the cost, that it has not been reconned.

If you are talking about a new bike, yes there will be GST but at that price I guess it is not new.

Brian has brought in quite a few already roconditioned. If your son wants to ring him that is fine. We are in Perth. If you reply and tick the "show my registered email address" box I will email you our phone number. I no longer leave my email address open on here after some former problems with a couple of pain in the bum posters on here.
