KP new rates??? Big increase?

Hi,
I've stayed at KP a few times, most recently last year. Rates were about 650,000rp or about $70AUD at the time. I just got a quote back for regular run of the mill deluxe room for first week or August next year at .....940,000rp. What the? Are they taking me for a ride or have prices genuinely gone up 50% in 12 months???
Any help appreciated.
