My older grandchildren who range from 14 to19 have enjoyed snorkeling off Sanur plus the water sports also in Sanur. I think the water sports are safer in Sanur because the area is not so congested. 2 of them also loved the buggies (or quad bikes). White water rafting, of course. One on one surf lessons from the boys on the beach in Legian, if they don't already know how to surf. Not to mention shopping. My grandson is not outdone in this area by his girlfriend, sister or girl cousin! Except for the ocean related things much of this stuff is either as close or closer to Ubud than the Southern beach areas.
