At the hotel i stay at,there are at least 8 security guards 24/7 and this is typical of most hotels in Bali.You are very safe there ,just use common sense ,put your passport,money and valubles in the hotel safe,watch your drink when you party,just normal stuff .I must add ,its very easy to make friends at hotels ,if they are return visitors they will have heaps of suggestions for you.There are tour booths all over the place ,taxis and bikes are so cheap to get around in,plenty of nightclubs It wont take you long to settle in.And of course you have this forum,there are thousands of holiday tips on here.Good luck
