dont know about fishing by my husband is a die-hard surfer. Took his own board which was no hassle at all. We stayed at Sanur because I wanted to but no surf there that time of year (July) so he hired a driver quite a lot for about 5 hours I guess took him to the Bukit Peninsula and then he surfed mainly at Uluwatu but was able to check out where he wanted to surf. I think Airport Reef at Kuta is very good too.
There is a good website called BaliWaves I think it is and they will also take surfers on day trips with a surf guide.
