I would be inclined to change your money to IDR once you get there . I'd keep my eye on the US$ and if it doesn't flucuate too much buy some for the hotel before you go , but get it from Aust Post as they seem to give a better rate than the banks and difinetly better than exchange express . Example I rencently change AUD to USD rate offered at bank was $1.02US for 1AUD , post office $1.045US for 1 AUD and no commission , Exchange express were quoting $1.05Us plus 3% commission taken out as well .
