a few years since I have been , I have heard that the people are rude and very pushy with very high prices . But yes you can feed the turtles , they have lizards and snakes with the mouths taped up so they dont bite and a bat in a small cage . If you google andys itchy feet as one word you can see some pics on my blog search the archives for the earlier Bali post . Turtle Island out from Sanur .
I would suggest one of the turtle conservation set ups , I have heard that the Inna Kuta has an area set up where you can pay a donation and release a baby turtle . I also think there is another turtle conservation near sanur , most drivers know of this and you can visit .
