Agree with Bob Bali about Kori's in Poppies II. Our favourite.
Others we like are Uncle Norm's, Sheppy's, Legends & Gosha in Legian, TJ's Mexican in Poppies I, Bluefin in Kuta, not far from Ramayana hotel if you like great Japanese and a little unassuming one called Jegeg Bulan in Poppies II, between the Bounty & Barong hotels on the Bounty side of the lane. Also ate at the Apache Bar in Legian St a few times last September and the place had certainly lifted it's game at that time.
