My travel agent friends tell me they make pretty good commission selling Covermore Insurance and Airport Transfers.
You can get cheaper than $39. Insure and Go Bronze Cover is around $30 a week. However this is very basic cover.
I still stick with Travel Insurance Direct and use the Coupon for another 10% off. I find it pretty good value, backed by Allianz, excess isn't too bad and covers what I require.
Previously I used Vero (Bankwest) I found their customer service great. Extended my trip in Bali and they extend my policy for free and sent the updated policy in 5 minutes.
You really have to compare each policy.
