djk some people on here think they own the place and it is their right to have a go.
There is an exchange calculator located at the top of the page and rule of thumb is that you will get about 10-15% less on the street. Make sure you go to a reputable money changer if in Kuta the one right next to Marta hari is good.
Some people should realise that no its not going to mean your not going to travel but it does help to know these things when you are on a tight budget and don;t want to take all your money with you.
