such. JL Tamblingan is the main drag which takes you from north to south and turns into JL Cemara, equally as interesting down this part of town.
If there was a central hub, IMO, it would be Hardy's. From here and in close proximity, you can do shopping, change money, walk to restaurants and beach.
North, middle and south are much the same. Nice walk along Tamblingan from north to south, plenty to see on both sides of the street, except for an empty stretch between peneeda and end of Hyatt.
Lovely walk along the beach path from north to south or the other way, makes no difference - south to north - either way its a lovely walk or bike ride.
