Well you're staying in a great spot - stayed at Griya Santrian myself in May. Some good places to eat:- head out front of the hotel, cross the road and head right up the main street (Jl Tamblingan) and you will pass Rib restaurant (great steaks) and a little bit further up is Cinnamon, one of our faves. All types of food, beautifully cooked and so cheap! Out the back of your hotel, turn left on the beach path and keep walking and you will pass Bonsai and also Benno's which are both great for breakfast lunch or dinner. The Sindhu Beach markets are up there too for lots of bargains. You can also hire bikes and ride all the way from one end of the beach in Sanur to the other and check out the hotels and cafes along the way. And it's only a 20 min taxi ride to Kuta if you are craving a bit of action cos it is much quieter in Sanur! Oh and the restaurant on the corner of the driveway of your hotel is called the Cat and Fiddle. We didn't go there but there is live music most nights I think and it is pretty popular and well known. We stayed a week in Kuta then finished off with 5 days at sanur.
