It has been my experience that organising yourself on line is the cheapest option.
I always take cash for the bulk of our spending money with some extra on a debit / credit card for emergencies.
Our favorite day in Bali, apart fom our wedding, was the Bike ride. We did this with Bali Baik and it was just a great experience. My two kids were 12 and 9 and they loved it! Plenty of info on here about this.
I believe it is cheaper to book tours once you are on the island
may I suggest you take a look at Bali Garden Beach Resort, it's very popular and for s reason...
