Check with Scoot as we went over for the day and firstly met at their office, did the ticketing /paperwork etc then drove us to where the boats go, was about 5 mins drive away. We were on a package though so maybe that was different.
Even still, check with Scoot as to where you should go first and taxi would be a matter of a couple of dollars at most as its not that far.
