Just want to warn people not to change money at the small "Authorised", "No Commission" money changer outside Yusuf Silver on Jl Legian. This was the first time in 25 trips to Bali that I have been ripped off. The rate was slightly higher than elsewhere which should have been a red light, but I had very little rupiah on me and it did say "Authorised" & "No Commission" so I thought it should be okay. I was concerned when he wanted to give me all Rp 20,000 for A$100 and then each time I counted it he picked it up again. I eventually took the money and when I got outside I counted it again and found it was Rp 200,000 short so marched back in and told him I was going to the tourist police. He asked for the rupiah back and handed me my A$100 back without any argument. I was shocked but pleased he did.
