21/6-22/6

We were picked up at quarter to nine Tuesday morning for our day out to the Bali Safari and Marine Park. It was our third time and mums first. Last year, the road works heading up to the park were in progress. They are completed now so it took a bit over an hour with the traffic to get there from the villa.

As I had mentioned in my previous HNR, we selected the Rhino package. In our opinion, it is great value. If you do select the Rhino package, please book in advance as the package comes with the Elephant Safari (30 minutes) and you will need to be booked in for this.

We did the usual and I won't go right into it as I'm sure most of you have been to the park. We did see the Elephant show, had our photo taken with the new baby orangutan and as the tigers are too big, they had a yellow Burmese python instead for photos.

We had lunch at the Tsvao Lion restaurant which was part of the package. We had a choice of a bingtang, soft drink, smoothies or milkshake for the drink and the 4 course meal consisted of soup, tuna steak, beef, tiramisu and tea/coffee.

The elephant safari was great once again and a fewof the elephants were trying to spray water at some of the  hotel guests who were kicking back on their balconies. The elephant behind SIL sprayed her six times and as such, SILs top, shorts and undies were wet! It was a day enjoyed by all and mum really enjoyed the experience.

We returned back to the villa at approx 7:00pm. SIL her hubby and kids went out Zappas for dinner. I was advised that the food was good, reasonably price but as we were out late, the band had commenced whilst after they ordered and it was really loud.

OH, mum and I went to The Junction for dinner. The establishment and decor looks very modern with timber lime wash finish. The OH ate the Nasi & Sate (49k). Mum and I had the Tasmanian Salmon steak served on a bed of mashed potato and veggies (99k each).

I had a couple of strawberry daiquiris and had strawberry sorbet, mum and OH had the cheese cake for desert. All up our bill was 545k. We all really enjoyed our dinner here and would highly recommend it.

Wednesday will be a romantic day for OH and I. Our plan is to hit Ku De Ta for breakfast and I am still deciding on our dinner venue. The rest if the day will be spent tanning by the pool and taking refreshing dips.

Until next time......
