we werent overally annoyed by it - just concerned that the parents didnt even cop what was going on...thats what was distressing. Others around us were annoyed and fair enough. On our l -ast night we encountered a far worst scenario...to set the scene...The Good - beautiful Italian restaurant on a main street. The Bad - Toddler and sibling tearing around the restaurant dangerously close to the main road whilst their parents are dining with a party of around 16 people - grandparents included. The Ugly - toddler climbs onto a chair at a vacant table, falls and cracks his head (audibly) on the concrete floor. The people at the table in front of us got to him before the parents did and his sibling was out on the pavement!!!! Toddler bundled into the arms of his father, crying hysterically...father then trying to coerce other sibling to come back into the restaurant, which he did. I went over and said, he cracked his head really hard on the concrete so you might want to keep an eye on him for signs of concussion. Oh really? says the Father...the mother is still sitting at the table...what the??? Father then after returning to the table, bundles toddler into his stroller and after a few words with the mother heads out of the restaurant - mother then tries to stop other sibling who is half way down the street following father from going any further. WOW - gobsmacked! Was I being nosy? No. Was I concerned...hell yes! We all were totally astounded at our table - including our Balinese friend Wayan.
