20/6-21/6

After breakfast, we all kicked back by the pool sunbathing in between swims. Made, the villa staff member came to clean the villa and teach us how to use the percolator machine.

The boys spent some time inspecting and exploring the koi pond. There are an abundance of gold fish, a few cat fish and we spotted three turtles.  There are also frogs and lizards around the villa.

At around 11:30am, the power went out at the villa. We phoned Made who advised us that approx once a month this occurs. We all nearly had coronaries as we were unable to use our materialistic gadgets..... ZOMG Thank goodness the power returned about 2 hours later and access to our materialistic gadgets returned.

At about 12:30pm, mum and I made our way down to Tommys leather in Jl Padma, Legian. I explained to mum that Tommy's is the place that I go to and get my handbags made. Mum picked a black Belenciaga inspired bag and as this was the last one in the shop, she ordered one for my SIL (my brothers wife). I requested two custom bags and were advised that they will be ready next Monday (27/6). The bags mum bought were 750k each and the bags I ordered were 1.3 million each.

From Legian we made our way down to Tuban. We stopped off at Stadium for a late lunch and from there, made our way down to the Discovery Mall. At the Discovery Mall, I found a charger for my camera battery (280 k). I explained to mum that she could get a pair of reading glasses for a fraction of the price compared to back home, here. We picked some random Optometrist (I noted that there were at least 5, if not more there). The frames she selected cost a tad over 1 million and her lenses were around the 400k mark. All up, her new glasses cost about AUD150. I did note that they had designer frames in the store. The Bvlgari ones were over 5 million so I would say that this is comparable to back home. They tested mums eyes and advised us it would take an hour. During that time, we went to the electronics shop and mum bought herself a camera. Unfortunately we didn't have time to pick one up duty free and mum doesn't own one, so she was happy to get one here. The camera and SD card came to about 3 mill and no doubt could have been bought home cheaper, but oh well you live once.

We shopped for an hour and returned to pick up the glasses. We were told with a smile that it wasn't ready and that they needed 20 more minutes. No problem, we are on Bali time. We went down the road and mum picked 2 pairs of sunnies for 30k a piece. I picked up a pair of decent looking Oakleys which were not on display for the OH.

We returned to the Villa, had the Spag Bol for dinner and relaxed outside knocking back a few of the mix maxes.

Today (21/6) we are off to the Bali Safari and Marine Park. This is our third time and obviously mums first time. This is a place that I don't think we could get sick of. We purchased the Rhino package, and Gede gave it to us for 89USD for adults and 83USD for children.  We will be picked up shortly (at 9am) with private transport.

Many thanks for the massage recommendation, it is much appreciated. I will try it out in a couple of days.

Please drop me a message with your email open for those that would like information pertaining to the villa. I will send you a link with all the details.

Until next time.....
