Please be aware that Phenergen (Promethazine) is NOT safe to give to infants - in fact the drug is specifically contraindicated for children under two years old due to the risk of risk for fatal respiratory depression :-(

Also as others have said for many children it gives the exact opposite of the sedative effect!
