It will make things much easier if you decide what type of accommodation you would prefer before you begin i.e. hotel or villa or apartment.
Not many villas and apartments wholesale through agents so mostly you need to book these yourself anyway. Some of those that do are easily found in the Garuda or Qantas brochures. Those brochures are pretty handy anyway for property descriptions even if you do your own booking.
Do you want to be able to split up a little and have b/fast on your own for instance, in which case a hotel would suit, or would you prefer a villa where it is just you and your friends? It would be good to consider these things.
Why don't you start looking for accommodation now and send off some emails to those places that appeal to you. You could then make some tentative dates until the fares come out and firm them up after you have your airfares.
Remember you can copy and paste the same info into many emails to save yourself time.
