Singapore-Bali VOA?

Hi guys,
I just read on our hotel website that if travelling to Bali from Singapore you do not have to pay the Visa of $25 US? We are travelling from Melbourne-Singapore and staying 2 nights then Singapore-Bali.. Has anybody done this before and know if this is true?
Also does anybody know if there is a Visa entering Singapore?
