Is not uncommon in Balinese either
Lucky for some Balinese, that non - Balinese, don't hear what they say to them or about them behind their backs (or cannot understand)
No idea where the kids are from in Indonesia (whether it be Bali or elsewhere) but they have been around for years & were nasty way back then too.
A lot of the smaller kids will learn their behaviour from the slightly older ones
They also will repeat what tourists have said to them
They may not be in school if they are in an organised system/rented etc to make the money
If the family has no money then sending them to school may not be an option
As with the kids begging at major intersections, have heard that if they don't produce the money each day, they may be mistreated in some way.
I suppose that would help to explain their bad attitude & behaviour
Does anyone even buy those plaited wristbands anymore?
Thought they had gone out of fashion..
