We went a couple of years ago, our first time, and didn't book. They had to put two tiny little round tables together for 3 of us and it just didn't work right.
We booked last year and probably could have walked in, as it wasn't flat out busy.
It's probably luck of the draw on any given day and any given time, but I wouldn't take the chance and would always book for future visits.
It's located in Seminyak on Jl Pettitenget. Neither of our taxi drivers had heard of it and didn't know the exact location. First time he must have stopped half a dozen times to ask people for directions. Last time, we had an idea of where it was and told the driver where to stop.
