Does not sound like she understands Australian boundaries, but I don't know many Indonesians that understand the way Westerners want to be left alone and want privacy. Being Indonesian she would have very willingly left them alone if asked to.
It takes a lot for Indonesians to learn what Westerners want as it is very different to what they want, sometimes we have to remind the staff at work how to make toast, they simply come to work and have forgotten how to do it.
It would be nice if you could send the Manager an email highlighting the points so he can do some more training with the staff, they need more training obviously and feedback like this helps the Manager to know where it is needed.
