I appologise for the racists overtones, it was not neccessary.
However, in my expeirence travelling extensively around the world and all Asian counties (with exception of North Korea), places that are frequented by westerners appear to have less obvious public hygeine issues.
Then again you never know judging by some oif the wild life that was there at the same time as us. One mother and daughter who spoke with our ladies had let her 15 year old get a southern cross tattoo! Real one not henna or temporary. Would think that illegal in most Australian states.
